Honor Kennedy is an international visual artist and photographer, born in Adelaide, Australia; for a time based centrally in Melbourne, Australia; currently based in Berlin, Germany, with extended field experience through Scandinavia, and broader Europe.
Through an interdisciplinary approach of paint and collage, her visual art investigates the core themes of transience and identity, pertaining especially to destination and place, exploring a sensibility that observes the power tension between the common individual and the overarching force of the multinational. Kennedy investigates the political, social and emotional consciousness, aiming to contribute aspects of memory and longevity to the mundane.
Via the photographic medium, Kennedy extends her central artistic statement to encompass the true capture of location, subject and movement.
